The Chewing Gum Task Force
To combat chewing gum pollution in high streets and public spaces, Keep Britain Tidy has launched the Chewing Gum Task Force scheme, providing grants to councils across the UK.
In its first year alone, the Task Force awarded 44 grants totaling over £1.7 million. Over the next five years, up to £10 million will be invested to tackle this persistent issue and reduce gum litter nationwide.
